Overview

The Bilingual Territory Support Representative supports the Machine Sales team in developing and serving Spanish-speaking customers throughout South Carolina. This position partners with sales representatives to identify prospective customers, facilitate bilingual communication, explain products and purchasing processes, support community outreach, and provide consistent customer experience throughout the sales cycle. The role requires regular travel to customer locations, company branches, and community events across the assigned region.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Hispanic businesses, contractors, municipalities, and community organizations to generate qualified sales opportunities and strengthen the dealership’s local network.
  • Track outreach activities, customer referrals, qualified leads and sales opportunities generated through bilingual market-development efforts
  • Participate in community outreach, local events, and targeted networking to strengthen the dealership's presence within the local Spanish speaking market.
  • Collaborate directly with sales representatives to identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with new Spanish-speaking retail and small core customers.
  • Support the existing sales force by assisting with translation and facilitating clear communication throughout the sales process for Spanish-speaking customers
  • Document an increase in Spanish-speaking customer interactions, leads, and follow-up activities in the company’s CRM or designated sales system
  • Assist with the development and review of Spanish-language customer materials to promote accuracy and consistency
  • Partner with Parts, Service, Rental, Sales, and Used to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the ownership lifecycle.
  • Travel across South Carolina branch locations as needed to support in-person sales and relationship-building activities alongside the core sales team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Professional fluency in both English and Spanish, verbal and written
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout South Carolina, including occasional overnight travel
  • Ability to maintain accurate customer and sales activity records
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and the ability to learn CRM and sales related systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements, when applicable

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, community outreach, or a related field
  • Experience serving Spanish-speaking customers in a professional environment
  • Experience with construction equipment, automotive sales, or another technical product
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and customer-prospecting tools
  • Existing relationships with Hispanic businesses, contractors, or community organizations in South Carolina

Working Conditions

  • The physical environment requires the employee to primarily work inside with occasional travel to meet with customers, attend industry events, and collaborate with association partners.
  • Position may require employees to be physically present at designated worksite locations including covering for employees out on leave.
  • Will require travel and occasional overnight stays to support team across the region.
  • Requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
  • Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
  • Use of computers and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
