Energy Rental Service Intern

 

Job Overview:

The Energy Rental Service Intern will get to experience all aspects of the Energy Rental Service Business. Interns should expect to work no more than 29 hours per week. Through a Work-Based Learning program, the student will gain hands-on experience while completing their high school education. This opportunity not only provides valuable exposure to real-world work environments but also helps the student explore potential career paths within our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Completes all required safety training, ensures compliance with safety policy and procedures, and encourages an accident-free safety culture.
  • Support technicians in day-to-day activities such as bulk item inventory, shop cleaning, equipment loading/unloading, and equipment maintenance.
  • Job shadow outside sales reps to understand our business and customers’ needs.
  • Travel with technicians and assist where possible.
  • Job shadow other field service departments to understand our business and customers’ needs.
  • Interact with and maintain good business relations with employees and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Ability to work no more than 29 hours per week during an internship.
  • Demonstrated competence in the use of computers and software applications.
  • Valid SC driver’s license.
  • Strong critical thinking skills coupled with attention to detail.
  • Superior phone and email etiquette required for internal and external communications.
  • High-level of personal integrity with ability to maintain, store, transmit and communicate highly confidential information.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with executives, managers, employees, and customers

Working Conditions

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside throughout the year.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment required (all PPE will be provided by Blanchard)
  • Position requires the employee to work on-site at the designated location.
  • Requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
  • Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
  • Use of computers and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
