Safety Coordinator

Under the direct supervision of the Safety Manager, the Safety Coordinator will be responsible for record keeping and supporting initiatives related to safety, health, and environmental protection

• Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
• Maintain Training Records (NEO, Forklift, WAH, MSHA, Defensive Driver, First Aid, MEWP, Machine Operator Training)
• Maintain Driver Qualification Files
• Coordinate Training for New Hires and other safety training as needed.
• Create POs for department billing – split charges out to the correct departments/branches as needed.
• Track Boot spending from all departments & available spending ways… Reimbursement, manager purchase & Lehigh
• Assist with negotiating rates for training, supplies & inspections from vendors.
• Create, upload and track training content in Blanchard University
• Fill in for New Hire Orientation as needed.
• Maintain / Add employees to EHS Insight, Lehigh Safety Shoes, Eyelation Safety Glasses & Vending machine access.
• Assist with Safety Projects as needed through all departments (vending machines, security system, Alertus, Hearing Conservation Program, Summer/Winter Safety Campaigns, Updated Facility Maps for Evacuations)
• Identify and inform Safety Manager of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with incident investigation process, safety audits and safety training as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. 
• Safety certifications (OSHA, EPA, NFPA) a plus
• Experience using Microsoft Word Excel, PowerPoint SharePoint, and Teams.
• Ability to work on different online software – specifically BlanchardU & EHSInsight or similar programs.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters involving personnel issues in the workplace.
• Professional demeanor, excellent communications, and presentation skills.
• Self-directed with the ability to work effectively with teams.
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in emergency situations.
