Overview

The Total Maintenance & Repair Coordinator will proactively support Blanchard Machinery equipment and Blanchard Machinery’s customers’ equipment by analyzing Product Link fault codes, oil sample results, machine inspection reports, equipment repair history and site conditions and providing recommendations based on these analyzes.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission, and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Utilize Builder G3 and Calculator to produce an accurate quote for TM&R’s.
  • Monitor TM&R machines under repair to include communication with customer, down time, repair cost and issue PO for TM&R repairs.
  • Monitor machines for scheduled maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform machine inspection and monitor machine fault codes for action based on severity.
  • Complete monthly TM&R billing and reconciliation report with accounting deparmtent.
  • Produce and provide monthly customer reports as requested.
  • Communicate directly with customers when needed concerning TM&R items.
  • Make decisions and recommendations based on situation and service experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.  
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of computer software programs with proficiency in Microsoft Word & PowerPoint including extensive knowledge in Excel. 
  • Prior experience with heavy equipment operations and design beneficial. 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to maintain daily routines and adapt to changing conditions.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and technicians both verbally and written. 
  • Make decisions and recommendations based on situation and service experience.  
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; high critical thinking ability. 
  • Ability to set goals, manage multiple projects simultaneously while establishing priorities and tight deadlines. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, Caterpillar, and other Blanchard employees at all levels. 
  • Ability to run reports, analyze data and draw conclusions from the information to offer recommendations to customers. 
  • Ability to create and present value-based alternatives and solutions to customers based on your own conclusions and recommendations. 
  • Basic understanding of chemical or oil analysis is a plus, but not required 
  • Experienced user of the dealer’s business systems (SISWEB, Contract Tracking, Work Order, or Parts Ordering) with ability to learn new platforms. 

Working Conditions

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
  • Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
  • Physical use of a broad variety of tools and machines to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Must be able to lift varied weights.
  • Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
  • Use of computers and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
